  1. Great pictures S.W. thank you for sharing! Your pictures do look quite breathtaking and I imagine the landscape was even more beautiful in person as you described. Do you often go on picnics with your family? How does the war affect such a trip? Was it more common or easier for you and your family or other people from Mosul to to make such a trip before the invasion?

  2. Hello Jamaal,
not all the families are capable to go on such picnics because of the situation in Iraq and Mosul especially, before the invasion we were more able to go on such picnics, but now not all the families are thinking to go on a picnics (only from home to the work ) , but nowadays as I see, there is more families go on picnics outside Mosul and in Mosul forests but not all the families of Mosul city only the half , but before the invasion the families were going on picnics is more.

  3. I am glad to hear that more families are able to go outside Mosul and into the forests of Mosul. Hopefully improvements will continue and everybody will be able to have the freedom to go on a picnic whenever and wherever they want. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions. I look forward to your next blog entry. Have a good weekend!

    Hey S.W.

Recently you told me that more families have been able to go on picnics similar to the one you went on in Bandawa and I was wondering if this was a continuing trend in Mosul and Iraq in general. Are conditions overall improving, staying the same or getting worse in your opinion?
