Hi, I'm Emma from Belgium.
ReplyDeleteI have a question about Mosul. You live there right?
I'm looking for some kind of amusement park in the Al Rashidiya Quarter in Mosul (so not the big amusement park in the center of the city). Apperantly there should be some place with a swimming pool, restaurants, go carts,... Do you know of such a place in that area? (I don't know the exact name of the park, and I can't find anything about it on the internet). A bit of a strange question, I know, but I wouldn't know how else to find out this kind of information.
Thanks in advance!
Hi there... I am from mosul too, medical college. Can you please give me your email so we can chat ?
ReplyDeletehello all, sorry for late answering you but soon I will answer all your questions
ReplyDeleteHi Emma,
ReplyDeleteIts ok I can give you any info you need about your questions , yes I live in Mosul city . I know Al-Rashidiya and there isn't any amusement park in it. but you find some in Al-Majmoa'a (near mosul college)which is the center of Mosul city, there is plenty of restaurants (like "Alsadeer restaurant" & "Alnojoom restaurant" these two big restaurants in Al-Majmoa'a and they contain family suite, and there are many clothes shops (like "Max" and "4 you my lady" and "Alaa Al-din" and also "Marchée" they sell beautiful clothes.
Note: I don't give my e-mail for chatting and wasting time.
ReplyDeleteHello InsertNameHere,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Bryan Semaan, and I am a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Irvine, in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science. I am an Iraqi born in America – my mother was born and raised in Basra, and my father was born and raised in Northern Iraq, in a village near Mosul called Telkaif (Tel Keppe). I came across your blog because I have been going to Iraqi Blog Count for some time now to learn more about what my fellow Iraqis are experiencing back home.
I am currently working on my dissertation research, where I am trying to better understand the ways in which Iraqis are using technology (i.e. the Internet, mobile phones) to repair various practices, e.g. social life, work, and education, despite living through war. My ultimate goal will be to develop technologies that will lessen the effects of war on civilian populations.
I was wondering if you would be willing to participate in an interview? All of the data I collect, as per University policy, will be confidential and anonymous. If you would like to participate, please let me know which method you would prefer. I can call your cell phone, or we can talk over Skype.
Please let me know if you would like to help a fellow Iraqi! you can e-mail me here: bsemaan@uci.edu Thank you very much for your time, and I hope to hear from you shortly.
Sincerely,
Bryan Semaan
Bryan, I sent you a message with details
